Eco-Action 21 (EA21) is a Japanese domestic certification and registration program for a wide variety of businesses and organizations, including small and medium sized enterprises, schools and public institutions. The program is based on the Eco-Action 21 Guidelines formulated by the Japanese Ministry of the Environment as a means to construct, operate and maintain systems that effectively and efficiently carry out initiatives that address environmental issues, to establish and work to achieve environmental goals, and to record, evaluate and report the results.
